Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello (hello, hello)...

It's finally the holidays and the second half of November. That means two things:

1) My Film Fest story is now in the archives on the SOM Web site. You can access "Fun With Film Festivals" by clicking on http://cgi.chime.com/cat-bin/board/show?topic_id=209;ctid=101;tid=316;id=6120 or if that's too complicated, you can also go to the Arts archives, http://www.someothermagazine.com/art-archive.shtml and scroll to the November 2005 v. 1 articles.

2) Time to pass out from eating waaaaay too much food. In fact, a list of places to eat Thanksgiving dinner without cooking is in the Nov. 17 issue of INtake that I compiled by calling/e-mailing more than 20 area restaurants. I don't think it's on the online site, but you can find it in the print version. This issue also has Rupert of Survivor fame on the cover (I met him at the photo shoot--I'm not a real Survivor person, but it was kind of fun to have a brush with celebrity). And if you're not in Indianapolis, national restaurants like Maggiano's, Palomino, McCormick & Schmick's and mostly hotel restaurants would be your best bets--but CALL FOR RESERVATIONS!!

Because I don't really know who is or isn't reading this, just out of curiosity, please drop me a line sometime. Especially if you want to get together over the holidays or will find yourself in Indianapolis soon.

Oh, and the BIG news--I have tickets to see Kevin Smith in February! Woohoo! If you'll be in Indianapolis and want to see Kevin Smith's Q&A on Feb. 2, check out www.viewaskew.com, the official Web site, or go to the Hilbert Circle Theatre Web site to order your tickets!
